Vaccines in the Workplace: Understanding & Implementing Requirements for Employees

Vaccines in the Workplace: Understanding & Implementing Requirements for Employees

The pandemic has taken a toll on all of us, and unfortunately, the pandemic is not going away. The Biden Administration took two steps to increase vaccination rates: (1) require all federal contractors to mandate vaccination and (2) require employers with more than 100 employees to mandate vaccination or require weekly testing of those employees who refuse to get vaccinated. This has caused a great deal of consternation and confusion amongst employers. Especially for retail employers, the new orders pose both an opportunity and an administrative nightmare. Attorney and HR Consultant, Kate Bischoff, will help break down what these orders mean with practical steps on how to implement these orders in your workplace.

What you will learn

  • Understand the Biden Administration actions to increase vaccination for federal contractors and employers over 100 employees
  • Analyze next steps for managers and human resources for verification and recordkeeping
  • Understand competing pressures on employers to comply while balancing reasonable accommodation requests due to religion and disability
  • Understand penalties for noncompliance and impacts on business
